Karen Thomas
KAREN THOMAS serves as secretary of DRG, the management company that oversees the publishing and fulfillment companies owned by the Muselman family of Berne, Indiana.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication studies and a Certificate in Piano Pedagogy from Taylor University, Upland, Indiana and a Master of Divinity degree from Asbury Seminary, where she was elected student body president and currently serves on their Board of Trustees.
In 1995, she married David Thomas, a United Methodist pastor, and joined with him in ministry. She has held leadership positions in several churches.
Prior to church ministry, Thomas published Youth magazine, a Christian publication reaching 40,000 youth. She has held positions as editor of The NACCAP Ambassador, a publication of the National Association of Christian College Admissions Personnel, and Assistant Dean of Admissions for Taylor University. She was chosen to Theta Phi at Asbury Seminary, for those with high scholastic standing, and selected to Who�s Who Among American Universities and Colleges and Outstanding Young Women of America.
Thomas was a contributing author to Breaking the Gender Barrier in Youth Ministry, published by Victor Books, and has been published in The Asbury Witness, The NACCAP Ambassador, Taylor University’s The Echo, Campus Life, Youth and various devotional publications. She teaches the Bible at retreats and conferences and focuses her energies on raising their sons, Luke and John Paul, and daughter, Mary Esther.
