Looking Back magazine: Sharing memories of days gone by
Printed in a 66-page, full-color format, the magazine includes old-time cartoons, photos, advertisements, recipes, and accounts from the past.
Looking Back highlights true stories contributed by readers living in the country and the city, focusing on memories that create a common bond in readers nationwide. Topics include memorable people, places and events, with magazine sections that incorporate home cooking recipes, nostalgia travel and old-fashioned home remedies.
The December/January issue includes accounts titled I Remember When, Herring Pails and Homemade Presents, Christmas Eve at Grandma's, The Winter of 1936 and A Christmas to Remember. In all, there are about two-dozen first-hand accounts.
Looking Back launched as a complement to Good Old Days magazine, the original DRG nostalgia magazine, which started as a write-in column in the 1960s but quickly grew into an independent nostalgia publication. Looking Back reflects a continued interest in stories and photos from the past, but adds an updated, full-color look and additional features to attract a new generation of nostalgic storytellers.
