BERNE, Ind. -- The June 2009 issue of Crochet World magazine is now available, featuring 33 summer crochet projects. The 68-page, full-size magazine is available in specialty stores and on newsstands for $5.99.

Crochet World provides a variety of well-designed crochet patterns for needlecrafters at all levels of crochet experience. It includes traditional styles and contemporary crochet projects that incorporate the latest threads and yarns. There are apparel items for infants, children and adults, and decorative items for the home and for gift giving.

Beginning with the June issue, the magazine is also available in an online digital format that allows readers to gain instant access to the latest issue before it hits the newsstand, with two years of back issues available in PDF format. The digital version allows crocheters to zoom in on photos, text and diagrams using DRG's proprietary Flip-e-Zine format.

Crochet World launched in 1978 and is one of the first magazines geared specifically toward crochet. Every issue features a variety of crochet toys, dolls, doilies and apparel items, using materials that are readily available in retail outlets and needlecraft shops.

The June issue includes beginner designs and more advanced projects, including a child's dinosaur hoodie, a baby blanket, a beach-house afghan, a summer sweater and a set of porch pillows with matching ripple rug. There are crocheted book marks, a necklace made with embroidery floss and shell beads, a beaded jelly bag and a wedding afghan.

Regular features in Crochet World include Crochet Questions, Crochet Chat, Crochet Potpourri and a buyer's guide with contact information for some of the best-known retailers of yarns and needlecraft supplies.
