Great family recipes in Home Cooking magazine
Home Cooking has been bringing traditional tastes to family tables since 1973 when it was launched as a digest-size magazine. In December 2005, it was relaunched in a full-size color format that offers even more recipe ideas for the family table.
“There are certain foods we turn to for comfort -- foods that convey a special feeling of being loved and nurtured,” said Carol Tannehill, editor. “The February issue of Home Cooking is filled with great recipes that conjure up all the sights, smells and tastes of home-cooked love.”
Home Cooking incorporates regular features for make-ahead meals, slow cooker recipes and cooking for two. The recipe box bonus card section includes more than 30 recipe cards to clip and save.
The February issue includes a variety of soups and stews, sweet treats, winter salads and hearty main dishes. There are pies and cakes, pizza and pastas and potatoes and vegetables.
Readers can find helpful tips for memorable family meals in the January issue of Home Cooking. The magazine is sold in grocery stores, on newsstands or at the Web site at HomeCookingmagazine.com.
