The Benefits of Berne
Berne is located in northeast Indiana – just south of Fort Wayne, the second-largest city in Indiana. The town has a population of 4,000 and is known for its Old World hospitality, horse-drawn Amish buggies and authentic Swiss architecture.
There are unique specialty shops and area attractions, including a 22-acre pioneer village, authentic Amish farms, Pine Lake water recreation, the area’s finest golf course, the Limberlost – home of famed author Gene Stratton-Porter – and the last covered bridge on the historic Wabash River. Berne is also known as the furniture capital of Indiana.
In Berne you’ll find a simple, easy way of life that’s just an hour or so from larger cities such as Muncie, Anderson and Indianapolis.
