O'Neil named DRG ad sales director

BERNE, Ind. -- Dave O'Neil has been named advertising sales director for DRG.

DRG is a leading player in the craft and nostalgia markets. The family-owned company publishes five special-interest titles in the craft category, including Creative Knitting, Quilter's World, CardMaker, Crochet! and Crochet World, as well as two nostalgia titles; Good Old Days and Looking Back.

DRG also has an extensive Internet presence with almost half a billion consumer touch points each year.

O'Neil joined the company as senior advisor of advertising sales in October 2009.

Formerly chief executive officer and vice-president/group publisher for enthusiast publisher CK Media, he will be directing DRG's ad sales team for the company's craft and nostalgia publications and Web properties.

"Dave O'Neil is a seasoned executive with a record of success and leadership in management and sales roles for major enthusiast media companies," said DRG Publisher Mike Klansek. "He is ideally suited to helping us communicate the strong benefits of DRG titles and Internet presence to the advertising community."

Prior to CK Media, O'Neil was vice president/group publisher of the Primedia crafts division from 1998-2006.
