BERNE, Ind.--DRG, nationally known publisher of special interest magazines and books, with divisions in publishing and fulfillment, has hired Patrick Cozens as the company's continuity marketing manager. He joined the company in November 2008.

Cozens is an experienced advertising and fundraising professional with a direct marketing focus and in-depth knowledge of acquisition and retention marketing. He has knowledge in customer communications, new business development, customer service, database management and marketing analysis.

Cozens most recently was a marketing consultant for Aquent LLC in Charlotte, N.C., a large marketing consultancy agency. While there, he provided direction and strategic insight to clients and collaborated with internal staff and external agencies to develop breakthrough creative concepts.

Prior to that, he was the senior direct marketing manager for The Taunton Press Inc., where he was responsible for all direct marketing efforts and strategies, directing and leading staff members in both acquisitions and retentions. He helped streamline the production process and spearheaded new-subscriber recruitment into telemarketing and online channels.

Cozens also served as director of direct marketing for Save the Children, where he helped create strategies to improve revenue flow from direct-to-consumer marketing channels and increased entry-donor acquisitions to build the donor database.

His career includes additional marketing and product development roles. At List Services Corporation, he served as senior account manager, and at Reader's Digest Association he was a senior account manager responsible for fiscal performance, marketing implementation and product development for customer acquisition products.

Greg Deily, DRG VP product, said, "We are glad Patrick has joined the DRG team. We were pleased to find someone with specific experience marketing continuity programs, which will be a big help in the growth of our kit-of-the-month clubs."

Cozens is currently enrolled in management and leadership studies through the University of Massachusetts and previously attended the University of Rhode Island and the University of Bridgeport.
