BERNE, Ind. -- Quilting for Busy Boomers is the name of a full-size, full-color quilting book from House of White Birches, with more than 40 quilting projects for today's quilter. The book is available from the DRG wholesale Web site or in select craft and specialty stores in a softcover edition that retails for $19.95.

Quilting for Busy Boomers includes chapters that feature easy quilts, small quilt projects, appliqué quilts, pieced quilts, quilts with accessories and quilts for Christmas. The book is 176 pages and includes step-by-step instructions with each quilt project, along with helpful diagrams and a color photo of each completed quilt.

The book features full-size quilts, quilts for babies, lap quilts, table runners, photo frames and wall hangings. There are also additional instructions, such as how to use spray starch on turned edges, how to use a stabilizer for an appliqué, and finishing instructions for adding borders, hand quilting, machine quilting and edge finishing.

House of White Birches was founded in 1947 in Seabrook, N.H., and was purchased from its original owners in 1985 and moved to Berne to become a part of the DRG family of brands.
