BERNE, Ind. -- The Needlecraft Shop, trusted brand of nationally-known publisher DRG, announces the release of a plastic canvas pattern book called Circus Puppets, with four plastic-canvas puppet projects in a 24-page publication that retails for $7.95.

Circus Puppets provides plastic canvas puppet projects written at the intermediate skill level. All of the patterns are stitched on 7-count canvas, and every pattern is written with a set of step-by-step instructions, a complete materials list, a color diagram and a color key. There is also a color photo of each completed project.

Puppet characters include Clem the Clown, David the Dog, Lonnie the Lion and Ted the Tiger, with a complimentary story called "The Wishing Game" to introduce the characters.

The needlecraft art of plastic canvas is easy to master, and supplies are available in local craft and needlework stores. Supplies can also be purchased in fabric, hardware and discount stores and from the Annie's Attic catalog at AnniesAttic.com.

The Needlecraft Shop launched in 1986 and became part of the DRG family of brands in 1994. It produces a wide variety of needlecraft patterns, books and pattern series, with hundreds of patterns for creating a range of needlecraft designs.

Other DRG brands include American School of Needlework, Annie's Attic, House of White Birches and Clotilde. Each DRG brand publishes an assortment of special-interest patterns and publications. DRG also publishes nationally known special-interest magazines and products sold direct to consumers through catalogs and the Internet and through wholesale and trade channels.
