BERNE, Ind. -- House of White Birches, popular publishing brand of nationally-known publisher DRG, has compiled a collection of quilted jacket patterns in a full-color quilting pattern book called Easy Patchwork Jackets. The book features nine quilted jackets in a 64-page book that retails for $19.95.

Easy Patchwork Jackets includes projects written to accommodate quilters at all experience levels, from beginner through advanced. There are detailed instructions and diagrams for each jacket and a color photo of each completed design. Every pattern also includes a list of the needed materials and special cutting instructions for each quilted design.

Projects in the book call for a variety of quilting techniques. Two jackets are stitched using sweatshirts accented with patchwork and appliqués. Other jacket patterns include dolman sleeves with cuffs, strip piecing, denim, fleece and trapunto, with jackets in varying lengths. As an added bonus, the book includes patterns for two purses.
