BERNE, Ind. -- The September 2009 issue of Looking Back magazine, published by DRG, is now available on newsstands nationwide, featuring stories from the past as told by the people who lived them.

Looking Back chronicles an era often referred to as "the good old days." It highlights true stories contributed by readers from across the country, focusing on average Americans and every-day experiences from the past, with old-time advertising, witty cartoons and authentic photographs of memorable people, places and events. The magazine also incorporates favorite family recipes, nostalgic travel pieces and old-fashioned home remedies.

With the September issue, Looking Back is also now available in an online digital format. With the digital version, readers subscribe at the magazine Web site and gain instant access to every story found in the printed version. The site also allows readers to zoom in on photos and text and access back-issue PDF archives.

In addition, the September issue offers the option of additional magazine pages, available only online from the Looking Back Web site.

The digital version is available at the magazine Web site at LookingBackMagazine.com and from the digital site at Digital.LookingBackMagazine.com.

Featured stories include The Iceman, Driving Solo, The Pay Phone, A Horse is a Horse, Mom vs. the Cookie Thief, and Bon Bons, Bugles and Billikins. In all, there are more than 20 interesting accounts of people, places and memorable events, plus a variety of great summer recipes that include campfire s'mores, taco burgers, corn fritters and baked green tomatoes.

Looking Back is a sister publication of Good Old Days, the original DRG nostalgia magazine, which started as a write-in column in the 1960s. Looking Back reflects a continued interest in stories and photos from the past, offering an updated, full-color publication unique in its approach to the past. A 12-month subscription includes six issues for $19.97.
