Quilt blocks for creating kids' quilts

BERNE, Ind. -- American School of Needlework, well known DRG publishing brand, has released a quilting project book filled with colorful kids' quilt blocks. 24 Kids' Quilt Blocks retails for $10.95.

Every block pattern in 24 Kids' Quilt Blocks measures 7 inches and includes a piecing diagram and a photograph of the completed block. The book also offers general quilting instructions, such as tips on tracing the block, cutting the fabric, making the quilt top and attaching the binding.

24 Kids' Quilt Blocks includes blocks for both boys and girls -- toddler through pre-teen. Quilt patterns include a fire engine, a soccer ball, a sail boat, a puppy, a pair of ballerina slippers and a princess crown. The colors are bright, and the designs are suitable for a range of ages and interests.

Quilters from all skill levels can use the block patterns to make a variety of quilt designs, or they can create an entire ensemble from one design.
