Tops & Toes: A collection of hat and sock patterns to knit
Tops & Toes offers a selection of projects for every knitter -- youth through adult, beginner through experienced -- showcasing a variety of knitting techniques that range from appliqué to bobbles and stripes. There are basic hat and sock projects and special stitch effects and techniques designed for more advanced knitters.
The book includes easy-to-follow, step-by-step instructions for each sock and hat project and is divided into three sections, with an extensive special techniques section, a hat section featuring caps for babies, kids and adults, and a sock section that describes the anatomy of a sock and offers adjustments for knitting socks in a variety of sizes.
Every cap and sock project includes additional individual directions and a color photo of the finished design, as well as a complete listing of the needed materials and pattern notes for increased ease of completion. Most of the products used in the book are available from local craft, fabric and variety stores, or from the Annie's Attic catalog at AnniesAttic.com. All of the yarns used in the book are available from Annie's Attic.
